So check out our top tips to get the most out of your treatment – and the best results at the most affordable cost.

1. At your Botox consultation...

It’s your Botox consultation – your opportunity to be comprehensively assessed. If you have questions, you should feel free to ask them – and be confident in the answers. Listen carefully to the information you’re given – does your practitioner make you aware of potential side-effects or possible complications? Do they offer pre- and post-treatment advice? Do they make time for and listen to your concerns? Are they clear about your expectations?

2. Check their Credentials...

Botox is a medical procedure. And you’re thinking about having it done on your face. While side effects aren’t common, administering Botox needs skill and precision to achieve a natural result. Don’t be afraid to ask about your practitioner’s training and experience. It’s also a really good idea to make sure your practitioner is a fully-registered member of the GMC (General Medical Council) or GDC (General Dental Council).

3. Ask about Advanced Botox

Advanced Botox does more. As well as smoothing out wrinkles, it can also perfect facial contours while achieving subtle, natural results. For example, if your eyebrows have lost their arch, precise injections of Botox can gently lift and arch your brows. Drooping at corners of the mouth can also be lifted – in both cases making you look and feel brighter and more refreshed.

4. Remember – you get what you pay for.

Botox deals that seem too good to be true often are so don’t choose your practitioner on price alone. Cosmetic clinics can be a little more expensive because staff are better qualified and trained. At Facial Aesthetics, you’ll be treated by a highly qualified and experienced practitioner and will still find that we offer prices that compare very favourably with other practitioners.

5. Tempted to go to a Botox party?

Getting a group of friends together at home or at the local salon can reduce costs, but it can also offer reduced results. It makes sense that the best results for what is a medical procedure are achievable only in a controlled and sterile setting with proper lighting. At Facial Aesthetics, we also offer  discounts for group bookings meaning you can save money while still benefiting from the best treatment available.

6. Get recommendations

It’s the best way to choose your practitioner. Ask friends or colleagues who have had work done (or even those who look particularly fresh-faced!). You could also bring a friend along to a consultation who has experience of the treatment – they’ll know what questions to ask. Ask your practitioner if you can talk to his or her previous clients or thoroughly check out testimonials on their website.

7. Ask about after care.

Because Botox doesn’t always offer instant results, a follow up consultation is essential. Be wary of any practitioner who doesn’t offer this. Maximum softening effect takes from a few days to 2 weeks and a follow-up is essential to ensuring the practitioner is happy with the results.

8. Do your research.

Don’t take the practitioner’s word for it. Research the treatment and the medical professional doing it. How much experience do they have? Find out exactly what you are paying for and check out any testimonials again and again!

9. Ask Questions

Each practitioner has a variety of qualifications, skills and experience. And each may also specialise in specific treatments. Ask them how much experience they have in the treatment you are interested in or the one they are recommending to you – this will help you to choose the best clinic for you.

10. Are you sitting comfortably?

Your consultation is also a good opportunity to establish good communication and rapport with the team at your clinic. Your aim is to be able to trust them with your face, looks and beauty for the long term, so you need to be confident that they are answering your questions and comfortable that they have your best interests at heart.
