FAQ’s on Obagi Nu-Derm

Who can use the Nu-Derm System?

If you've had occasional sunburns, daily sun exposure, hormonal changes, or a lot of stress then your skin is likely to show signs of premature ageing or occasional acne flares. Your genetic history may also make you more prone to the effects of ageing skin. Come have a skin analysis with us and discuss how we can help tailor a Nu-Derm program to restore your skin's beauty.

In addition the Obagi Nu-Derm System is the perfect way to maintain the results after an Obagi Blue Peel which can turn the clock back on the signs of ageing.

Who is behind Obagi Nu-Derm?

Dr Zein Obagi is possibly the world's leading dermatologist who in the early 80's created the Nu-Derm System which has since become the world's #1 professional skin care programme for correcting skin problems such as ageing, acne, melasma and scars. Today, the Obagi Nu-Derm system is used by more than 11,000 physicians worldwide and is recognised as the most effective treatment for skin health restoration.

What happens after the Nu-Derm course?

It is recommended that patients completing the Obagi Nu-Derm 18 week course maintain their new skin condition using the ZO Skin Health system. Dr Obagi developed the ZO Skin Health range because:

  • He believes that most of the skin care products that are sold at department stores today contain insufficiently low concentrations of active ingredients to stimulate cellular activity or rejuvenate skin.
  • He realises that most people who used the Nu-Derm regimen didn't have a continuum of care after they completed the 18 week regimen and many reverted to traditional department store brands which over time lead them back to the original "dull and discoloured" look they wished to avoid.
  • So the ZO line is intended for people who want to maintain the results and for those who don't want the redness associated with Nu-Derm, but still want to improve their skin.
  • Dr Obagi's products and treatments have become the gold-standard in skin health.
